How do I make an appointment?Email is best (you can use the “Contact Us” facility on this website) to email@davidstanleyblinds.co.uk or you can telephone on 0800 6444442. You can book a morning, early afternoon, late afternoon or evening slot for a day that best suits you.

What happens during the appointment?We will visit you during the slot on the day you have chosen and bring samples, swatches and product examples to help you choose the best solutions for your budget and your décor. It is very much a co-operative process and we work with customers to find the best options and choose the most suitable products, bearing in mind all the important factors such as main purpose(s), appearance, ease of use and cost. You can browse through the samples while we measure. We will then give you an accurate quotation. There is no obligation to order but If you’d like to go ahead we take a deposit and agree a fit date and time that’s suitable for you. Deposits can be paid by card, cash or cheque. The balance is due once we have fitted your blind(s) and you are happy.

Can I request an evening or a weekend appointment?Yes, we are customer focused and understand people have busy lives; we do our best to fit in with what you need.

How long does the appointment take?Consultations are relaxed and informal, we generally find we need to allow about 45 minutes.

How long before I can have my blinds fitted?All our products are made to measure so we need to allow due time for manufacture to take place. We offer 4 timescales for fitting: STANDARD Fitting is usually around 3 weeks (for blinds and curtains), 8 to 12 weeks for shutters. We will contact you to arrange a convenient day/time when the order is ready. This is our default, regular/routine service. EXPRESS If fitting is required sooner we can offer an express service (less than 3 weeks for blinds/curtains, less than 8-12 weeks for shutters), for some items. There is usually an additional charge for this service. UPDATE If a customer requires regular updates on the progress of their order we provide an update service until the order is ready. There is usually an additional charge for this service. SPECIFIC If fitting is required on or before a specific date we can usually arrange this for customers, as long as the date is specified and agreed at the time of order. There is usually an additional charge for this service.

What products do you supply?Being an independent blinds consultancy, we are not tied to any particular manufacturer – which means we can help you to select the best possible blind, curtain and shutter solutions for suitability, quality and value. We supply: - Roller blinds - Vertical blinds - Venetian blinds - Pleated blinds - Roman blinds - Duo shade rollers - Allusion blinds - Integrated blinds (such as Perfect Fit and Intu) - Motorised blinds - Conservatory blinds - Skylight and roof blinds - Lantern blinds - Flyscreens - Awnings And more besides... In a large range of styles, fabrics, materials and colours. It is helpful, when you make your appointment, if you let us know what you are interested in. If you’re not sure, that’s fine, as we will bring everything needed to help you make an informed decision.

What areas do you cover?Based in Consett, Co. Durham we cover anywhere between Alnwick to York. We are proud to have served happy customers across the North East area and North Yorkshire - from Alnwick in Northumberland to York - covering Co. Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Newcastle, Gateshead, Teesside and North Yorkshire.

Do you have a showroom?Yes (please ring first to ensure one of our team is available to greet you) however we think it’s best for you to see the samples and colours in the environments where the products are going to be fitted. So we bring our expert service direct to you in the comfort of your own home. We offer free consultations and free no-obligation quotes, bringing samples, swatches and product examples to help you choose the best solutions for your budget and your décor.

What guarantees do you give?We only fit high quality, reliable products. Our blinds and curtains come with a 12 months guarantee, our shutters are guaranteed for 3 years.

Are your products child safe?Yes – safety is paramount and all our products are child safe and fully comply with safety regulations.

Do you supply to business and industry?Yes - we don’t solely specialise in transforming windows in homes - we also do commercial work and have done many installations of beautiful and practical blinds, curtains and shutters in hotels, restaurants, pubs, care homes, offices and schools.
